Testimonials

I walked in with a story to tell. I met with Tina - told her my story and my idea for a tattoo. She actually - keeping with my story - sketched out a dragon - much better than the sketch I came in with. That's not all she helped weave it out with me. The result is simply beautiful. Tina is best artist I know. She's not done with me....I have 2 re-dos and perhaps another new one on the horizon!

Thank you Tina for making my previously barely existing eyebrows look fabulous! Not only did she do exactly what I asked for (natural looking brows so that I don't feel forced to wear makeup every day, unless I feel like it), but she was being very patient, walked me through the process so that I knew what to expect, and helped me calm my nerves :) I'm so stoked to no longer risk losing my eyebrows (or worse; one eyebrow ) in the rain! Thanks again, Tina!! Highly recommended!!

Just had an old tattoo redone by Tina at Tantric. I showed her a design I liked, and incorporated it around an existing tattoo. I went back to have the original tattoo redone, and she was able to give me the tatt I really wanted the first time. Above and beyond every expectation. Also the studio looks great, clean, great decor. I want one of those zebra chairs....

I came in to get a new pair of eyebrows! And while I had my own ideas on what I wanted, the owner very nicely suggested and explained a better idea, which I agreed to. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous, but she made me feel confident in her abilities. I am very happy with the end result. She took her time with me and did a wonderful job.....highly recommend her!

I just got a second tattoo at Tantric...and again I'm very happy with the results. The artist is very talented and meticulous. I came in with my own idea and as usual... she nailed it. This is a great place to get a tattoo, and it won't break the bank.

I am happy to report that the tattoo I just got at Tantric looks amazing! The shop is nice and clean, the people are helpful and friendly, and the artist does great work. I came in with my own idea of what I wanted and a couple examples of it. The artist took her time and drew up exactly want I wanted. After she completed the tattoo, I was amazed at what she had done. Overall great experience. I will definitely be going back in the future.

Do I need to make an appointment?

For large or custom tattoo work, appointments are required. While appointments are not required for other tattoos or piercings, walk-ins are taken on a first come, first serve basis. If you want to ensure you will get your piercing or tattoo when you come in, we suggest making an appointment or at the very least, calling ahead.

How do I make an appointment?

Piercing appointments do not require a deposit. To make a piercing appointment, just give us a call.

Tattoo appointments require a $60 cash deposit which will go towards the final price of your tattoo. Cash deposits for tattoo appointments must be made in person; we will not accept any kind of deposits over the phone. If you have already made a cash deposit in person with an open appointment date, you may call to schedule your appointment over the phone. Appointments will not be scheduled before a deposit is received.

What are the age limits for piercing and tattooing?

You must be 18 years of age or older to be tattooed or pierced without a parent or legal guardian. If you are under 18 but at least 16 years of age, you may get tattooed or pierced if you are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and both of you provide state issued IDs with either matching last names or addresses. The ID must be the original copy of the driver’s license, passport or birth certificate; Xerox copies will not be accepted.

What payments do you accept?

We accept all card types and cash. Sorry, we do not accept personal checks.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Appointment cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for your deposit to remain valid. Deposits for appointments canceled less than 24 hours in advance will be kept and a new deposit will be required for your appointment. We absolutely do not offer refunds for any services provided.

Should I tip my artist and how much?

Although tips are not required, they are appreciated by your artist. Remember that the full cost of your tattoo or piercing does not all go to the artist.

How should I prepare before getting my tattoo or piercing?

Before getting tattooed you should be well rested and have something to eat. Please do not come in high or drunk. It will not make your tattoo or piercing less painful, we will not tattoo or pierce you and we will not issue any refunds for deposits made.

Do you reuse needles?

No! All needles for tattoos and piercings are single use and discarded into a sharps container immediately after being used. All needles and tubes are sealed and autoclaved in sterile bags prior to use. In addition, all ink poured into disposable caps for tattoos are discarded after use.

How do I get my tattoo idea drawn out?

We will not create any artwork until a deposit is made. For most small pieces we can help you right on the spot if we have the walk-in time. For large pieces it is important to set up a time for a consultation.

We are here to tell your story, so when you come in, bring as much information and reference material as you can to help us interpret your idea. We do not expect you to draw anything for us; we just need to be able to understand what it is you are looking for. Use the internet, books and other sources to gather visuals and tattoo styles you like and have in mind for your own tattoo.

Do you do cover ups and re-work old tattoos?

Yes, we do cover ups and re-work. Because every tattoo is different, please set up a consolation to figure out what will best suit your tattoo you would like covered up or re-worked.

How much do tattoos cost?

Our minimum price for most tattoos is $60 and prices go up from there depending on factors like design, detail, size and placement. Custom pieces that require multiple sessions are charged at an hourly rate of $150 an hour. Foot and hand tattoos start as $100.

We cannot give pricing over the phone. Stop in any time during our business hours with your ideas so we can give you an accurate quote.

How do I take care of my tattoo?

The care of your tattoo is up to you. Healing is different for everyone – but never pick or scratch at your tattoo.

After your tattoo session, keep the bandage on for 2-4 hours. Before removing the bandage, wash your hands to make sure they are clean. Once your hands are clean, remove the bandage and wash your tattoo with mild soap and water. Pat your tattoo dry with a clean towel and apply a small amount of hand lotion – we personally recommend Aquaphor or Lubriderm. Rub the lotion all the way in just like you would do with your hands. Repeat twice a day until healed.

Never use anything your artist did not tell you to use. DO NOT TAKE ADVICE FROM FRIENDS. Most important – no sun, swimming or soaking for at least 2 weeks. Average healing time is 7-10 days. Your tattoo will be completely healed in 6 weeks. If you have any questions, make sure to ask your artist. If you have any problems or issues with healing, call or see us immediately.

Can I bring my own jewelry for my piercing?

All piercings must be pierced with our shop sterilized jewelry which is included into the price of your piercing. After your piercing is healed, you may put in any jewelry you like.

How do I take care of my piercing?

The healing and care of your new piercing is up to you. Healing is different for everyone – but never pick or scratch at your piercing.

Clean the piercing twice a day with anti-bacterial soap and warm water, then dry with a q-tip. Never use rubbing alcohol, peroxide, Neosporin or anything your piercer did not tell you to use. DO NOT TAKE ADVICE FROM FRIENDS. If you have any questions, make sure to ask your piercer. If you have any problems or issues with healing, please call or see us immediately.

How do I take care of my oral piercing?

Be aware of oral hygiene – brush your teeth 2-3 times a day. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with mouthwash for 30-60 seconds after eating, drinking or smoking. (You may need to dilute the mouthwash with water.)

Drink plenty of water, ice the area as needed and take ibuprofen as directed to help decrease swelling. You may rinse with warm salt water to help with discomfort.
